I wished spring would arrive



No, no, no selfie today !

and now, a bit older,  a bit slower but still a pain in the neck !

Although Arthur looks as if he wouldn't finish the day, he still is a pain in the neck and suddenly full of energy. Each time Mr. G. goes into the kitchen he meows until he gets something to eat, even if he had just eaten 10 min before ! It's like a game ! He then eats a little piece and walks away. The bowl is full. Mr. G. leaves the kitchen and when he comes back he is still followed by Arthur who meows again for food.

This makes a lot of noise, because Arthur has a loud voice and Mr. G.  too ! So one meows and the other shouts "shut up, I just fed you" and there is a whole conversation going on ! Arthur always wins ! Slowly I get crazy, the old cat makes fun out of his old servant and when I compare their comportment they are like twins !

Both like chocolate cookies. Mr. G. left a basket with cookies on the table during the night with the result that Arthur had taken them all out and apparently had tried them all. The whole living was full of crumbs. I am the cleaning president of the house.

Arthur also still loves guests, the more they are the better it is ! Then he walks from legs to legs or leather shoes to leather shoes and selects one on which he could sharpen his claws. Unfortunately that doesn't work anymore, I mean it's sad for him but good for the owner's shoes.

Of course he also plays the victim which is never fed and starving. With hungry eyes he stares at each guests who of course can't resist and he gets a piece from whatever. I don't say anything anymore, the last days or weeks of his life he should eat whatever he likes.

and he is still fit enough to jump on the new TV furniture to check the cables behind !

Rosie is the opposite, she runs away when guests arrive and spends most of her time on the sofa, on her scratch board or besides my lap to watch TV

Outside selfies are not bad at all ! I could even keep my eyes open !

Our beautiful summer weather continues, and therefore we are all a bit lazy.



Kim only gets up when her tummy rumbles and she is hungry, then she would walk to the kitchen and ask for food.



When she has finished eating she lays down always at the same place just in front of the garden shed and the hedge. Sometimes I think she never moves and is maybe glued to this spot.



Rosie has discovered this place too  !



But she loves to sleep on my bed too and not to disturb her, I leave it open !




Apparently she needs some company and as Arthur has other sleeping places, she stays besides her stone brother... he must be quite warm !



She also likes to sleep on a chair outside on the patio and observe magpies from far ! They are too big for her !



Arthur is the only family member which is active in this house ! Except that here he rests in his favorite place on the bark in the shade.

But if somebody comes, he even runs in this heat to check who it is and to say hello.



This was the case when the pedicure lady came ! He was watching her and paid attention that she didn't cut off our toes !



He also has discovered a new napping place for the night ! Not very comfortable in my opinion, but he likes it. He is squeezed between the window and the shutter, maybe it's nice and cool there.



He also loves to sleep on my desk besides the computer and then goes out on the windowsill, which always makes me nervous as it is on the second floor and I am always afraid he would fall or jump down. But Arthur probably thinks that I am stupid, he is far too intelligent to do that !

I can only say, I lead the same life as my cats, only that I have to go out from time to time for shopping and of course I have to blog too, although there is not much to tell about my lazy cats ! Even the mousies have nothing to fear, it's too hot to hunt them !

The last 2 weeks I have spent in Egypt at the Red sea in the Sunrise Holiday Resort, leaving my poor cats in the rain and cold, fortunately inside the warm house. Mr. G. as usual took too good care of them because they all looked a little more XL !



While I was away Kim had changed her usual place which she had occupied during at least 4 months always at the same place in Mr. G.'s room on a rug. Only for eating and other businesses she left this place.



Now she has moved to the entrance ! Don't ask me why. She does exactly the same, screwed on the same place, day and night ! Fortunately we don't get a visitor each hour, then she would certainly choose another place.



Rosie and Arthur tried to occupy themselves a bit, but did sleep mostly, while outside it stormed and rained. In the news they said that Belgium had 9 hours sunshine in the whole month ! No wonder that people have sour faces ! Cats are more discrete they don't show their mood in their faces but with their tails, which would be difficult for humans because they don't have one to express their feelings.

Everything went well during my absence, and now that I am here, they probably wait that I take out the Christmas balls and decorations !

Looking out of the window for inspiration, my eyes caught Rosie very busy to eat (!!) a mouse ! I don't even like that she catches a mouse and play with that poor thing but here she ate it ! From top to bottom, the only thing which remained was the tail !



and she so much feared that somebody would take her prey away that she took a bite and then looked around her !! Fortunately she was kind enough to do that outside and not in the house.



and then with a full stomach she returned into her wires and my blue invoice which she occupies now in the 3rd week !



Kim who for weeks was glued in snail position always on the same spot (right below) moved !!! I was so happy to see her on my bed ! That meant that she can still jump and is not so half dead as she pretends to be ! Anyway her fur and her appetite confirm this fact. Strange cat, now she comes to me for cuddles ! It took her more than 10 years and also, unfortunately, she started to meow not all the time but if you had a dumb cat for so long it surprises when a meow comes out !



Sir Arthur has a good appetite but he is difficult too, look at the range of bowls where he has the choice from. To be honest not only him the others too.

He also has met our new neighbors, I don't know if they are cat lovers, but at least they didn't chase him away, apparently he is often in their garden.



The best weatherman in Belgium is Arthur, much better than those on TV or Newspaper, when he washes behind his ears you can be absolutely sure that it will rain  the same day or the next day. Sometimes also the 3rd day, but usually it is always right. I have to add it rains quite often here, but that doesn't mean that he also does ear cleaning.

This is a real selfie !! The only thing she did was putting the phone on the table and I stepped with my paw on it. I didn't even want to ! Look what a face I have now !!




I forgot to look in the lens in time ! And I still have this white whisker !!



Why did he sneeze as if a bomb would explode ?? I nearly got a heart attack !

Now that the sunny weather switched over night into rain, cold and grey, the cats moved inside !



Of course Arthur choose a place where he really was not needed ! There are so many chairs in the house but he had to choose Mr. G's office chair. He settled down and slept. Pushing and touching and calling him was useless, he slept. Finally Mr. G lifted him up as he was and transferred him to the sofa, but that Arthur didn't like at all and very much offended he run away to find another place.




Rosie started her 24 h marathon sleep, only interrupted by a thoroughly grooming of herself. For this she has chosen my place on the sofa, but with or without me it doesn't bother her.




Old lady Kim spends her days sleeping on rugs always at the entrance into a room, so that you can be sure to kick into her as you can't see her she is black ! Now when we don't see very well we stalk along the doors with our noses on the floor not to hurt the old lady.

Another place is sitting on the table and waiting for Mr. G. to sit down and eat or watch TV. 10 years this cat was dumb like a fish or from time to time let out a sweet little baby meow, while now she roars like a tiger ! She still runs away from me, but from time to time I am allowed to pet her. She is really a special cat to be studied for cat behaviour science !
