WHAT IS IN THIS HEDGE ?

As I hadn't seen Lisa (17) for one week because of my holidays in Greece, I noticed with pleasure that her hairs grew back around her neck,

but now she is loosing it at her hind legs ! But she plays and eats so everything is OK with her.

Yesterday, Rosie had a strange behaviour, she sniffed and sniffed at the hedge and then

I saw her very busy running along it

and looking and looking. There must be something very interesting. I first thought she wanted to say hello to our neighbor's dog Yanouk.

but then Pookie and Kim came too and also looked along the hedge.

Finally I was intrigued too and put my camera aside to see what was attracting my cats so much.
It was a baby bird probably fallen down by trying to fly because it tried to get up again. I quickly took it in my hand and throw it over the hedge, to save it from my voracious cats and saw it flying away ! Good !

Of course the cats were very offended that I had taken their toy away and Rosie was still looking for a while if she couldn't find another one !

Oh boy, now you're in trouble! First you have the "audacity" to go away on vacation and now you take breakfast and throw it over the hedge, LOL!

Good decision, Gattina :-) And kitties, I guess you will find something else to play with soon :-)

Good on you for saving the birdie - hopefully it is safe! Unfortunately sometimes what a cat wants isn't what a cat gets! (Well it's FORTUNATELY for the bird, hehe!)

How lucky you went to investigate!! I love my cats but I also love my birds so it is nice to hear that you could save it.

Lisa looks like such a pretty girl.

Way to go on saving the birdie!! Despite several cranky cats. ;)

Oh, I'm glad the baby bird got rescued! And Lisa is such a beautiful Ladycat! Give her a big hug from me and Mom.

Purrs and snuggles from Marilyn!

You go on holiday and then take away their bird??? I would not get into my bed without looking very carefully under the sheets if I were you :-)

Although my humans would have done the same, this kind of behavior just wouldn't work with me. Please tell your kitties that you need more training.
