HOW TO CLEAN YOUR TOILET

Today I received an email from a friend giving me some suggestions how to clean toilets.

When I read this to Arthur, he jumped immediately off this place ! I only saw a piece of white tail disappearing through the door !




1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. (You may need to stand on the lid.)

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. (Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, pretend that the cat is actually enjoying this.)

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse." (also briefly calms the cat action down a little.)

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bath room and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can (if possible, stand in the bath tub), and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will then proceed to dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.




Rosie didn't dry herself on this picture, she was scandalized too about this ! She probably will never look at my friend again !

CATS ON TUESDAY - WORKS ON THE ROOF

CATS ON TUESDAY

Arthur was peacefully ironing my socks, when suddenly

he heard strange noises ! People in the garden ! Forgetting his quite round volume and his age, he jumped down and ran like a youngster in the garden !

Indeed there were two people there ! After having said hello and let himself be petted (he is a generous cat) he started to help undo the cords !

Then helped with the ladder

and the hose. Now he got it ! they will clean the roof ! How interesting ! But when they went on the roof and started to clean with water, he quickly ran inside and

collapsed on the sofa, exhausted from all this work and almost slipped down !

During this time, Rosie was sleeping on my bed, and when suddenly she heard something on the roof !

What was that ? People walking on the roof ? She couldn't believe it, turned around and prefered to settle down again and sleep pretending that everything was normal

Old Lisa wasn't disturbed at all ! she continued her morning clean ups in her basket showing her thinner getting fur and also her bald belly.

We have stopped giving her the "happy pill" because she doesn't yowl during the nights any more, she only wakes me up at 4 am but that she has always done probably because at that time I had to get up anyway to visit my private litterbox.

Now she makes strange sounds all day it's difficult to describe, it is not a meow it sound as if she was very sad and complaints in a quite loud voice. It gets on our nerves but nothing helps ! After having fed her (at least 10 times/day) pet her, sat her on our laps, or besides the keyboards, then loosing temper and "throwing" her out, two seconds later she is back through the cat flap like a boomerang and starts complaining again ! I think she will get in the Guiness book as the most stubborn and bullheaded cat of the world ! The only thing which helps a little bit and stops her from complaining is a little orange octopus or a little green turtle, (apparently she loves sealife) then she plays like a kitten ! Only this kitten is 17 years old ! Not bad isn't it ?

WHAT IS IN THIS HEDGE ?

As I hadn't seen Lisa (17) for one week because of my holidays in Greece, I noticed with pleasure that her hairs grew back around her neck,





but now she is loosing it at her hind legs ! But she plays and eats so everything is OK with her.


Yesterday, Rosie had a strange behaviour, she sniffed and sniffed at the hedge and then



I saw her very busy running along it



and looking and looking. There must be something very interesting. I first thought she wanted to say hello to our neighbor's dog Yanouk.



but then Pookie and Kim came too and also looked along the hedge.

Finally I was intrigued too and put my camera aside to see what was attracting my cats so much.
It was a baby bird probably fallen down by trying to fly because it tried to get up again. I quickly took it in my hand and throw it over the hedge, to save it from my voracious cats and saw it flying away ! Good !



Of course the cats were very offended that I had taken their toy away and Rosie was still looking for a while if she couldn't find another one !

THE FIRST DAY HOME FROM GREECE

I am back from my roundtrip through Greece, which was very interesting, but of course "lucky" as I am, the Acropolis just got its spring cleaning !

When I arrived home, Arthur was sitting on our little wall and checked what was going on in the street. I said hello, but he didn't move and only "supported" my come back cuddle. He was far too busy to welcome me because our neighbours get their roof cleaned and there are workers and therefore a lot to do for Arthur !

Lisa was happy to see me and meauwed for food. I am sure she thought "now I have again two to feed me !" I noticed that her hair is growing more and more and the hairless spots are disappearing under new fur.


Pookie and Rosie were the most offended, they both run away when they saw me ! Only one hour later they showed up again, and looked at me only from far ! But when I opened my suitcase they became both very curious. After having checked the content,

Pookie installed herself on the suitcase and is sleeping on it since 2 days, therefore it is still in my room !

Rosie did the same but it wasn't comfortable enough for the little princess,

She preferred to sleep on my bed again, and showed her happiness about my return a little later. Now she is "normal" again and poses here with a little greek owl I have bought for Mr. Gattino.



And this morning what was laying on my sofa ???? Mr. Arthur in his usual sleeping pose !

BACK FROM GREECE

She is back ! Don't be too nice to her for the first day !

and that's what happened ! Besides Kim who probably didn't even realize that I was away, all the others looked at me, faked not to know me and then disappeared in different places !







I haven't seen many cats in the towns in Greece where we stopped but always on historical sides as here around the Zeus temple. The cats looked very good, well fed and were all very friendly. Apparently they are fed by the guardians and the tourists.

SHE IS IN GREECE !

Boooohoooohoooo, sob, sob, SHE is gone ! SHE left us !

Shut up Arthur ! SHE will be back in a week and meanwhile we will get a lot of treats and raw meat and ... and ... and...., you know that HE cannot say no ! HE will feed us the whole day ! You don't even have to say meow, just sit and look cute !

This probably will happen while I am sitting in a bus and travel through Greece !

Greece was so evident to me, that I had to look on the map to see it's exact location ! (I slept during Geography lessons)



I start in Athens and go up to the North and then down again to Athens. My trip looks approximately like above.

Of course I will miss my little darlings very much ! I will be back next Friday.

Happy Birthday Rosie !! I know I shouldn't swear on this day but I can't get this bloody bouquet together !!

Even on such a day, Arthur as usual is a little clumsy, but full of good will !

Today Rosie is one year old. She was born on May 5th and is the first cat I could follow up with pictures since her birth.

Rosie was one week old when I saw her for the first time. I had put an ad on Internet and found a young couple not so far from our home whose cat just had a litter of 5 kittens. I wanted a tuxi female and there was one. Besides one tuxi brother all the other kittens had other colors.

when I took Rosie home, she was 6 weeks old and getting out of the cage she hid under my bedside table !

Rosie was so tiny that I let her sleep in my bread basket !

It hasn't taken very long that she had discovered my computer !

In September she dared to go outside and discover the grass

and she also discovered the cat entry !

In November it was her first visit to the vet, she was in perfect health and got spayed.

Rosie's dearest compagnon (besides myself,) is Arthur. They play for hours together

Easter this year Rosie also discovered snow, but didn't like it at all. For that she is like me, I don't like snow either.

This is Rosie today. A beautiful little cat. Although she is an adult cat now, she hasn't grown very much and is still small. I can only say that we are very happy with her, she has such a good character and is very sweet and affectionated. She didn't even break anything in this house since her arrival and has never scratched anything either. I never thought I would have once a goodie goodie cat !
