CATS ON TUESDAY

I have never seen such a happy cat like Arthur ! After having napped most of the days (and nights) and behaved like an old human, he changed into a young man over the weekend when his big friend grandson  Toby arrived !



It was warm and sunny and Arthur followed Toby everywhere ! Even when he played football (soccer) ! He ran around and raced through the garden like a horse ! They had discussions together and were big buddies ! He is really a special cat, loving a 2 1/2 old toddler !




But once Toby gone, and the dining table was free again (the other humans chased him away) he collapsed and did a long nap !



Rosie only came out when Toby was in bed and checked if it was worthwhile to go out, during the day she stayed in my room and slept on my bed !




Kim and Pookie did the same on Mr. G's bed and we didn't see Kim until the little guest and parents had disappeared !



Sometimes Arthur too needed a little rest but only a very little one, and Mr. G. had little space for his afternoon nap !

Now they are all back to their normal life and even Kim moved in again !

CATS ON TUESDAY

Arthur had wonderful time this weekend, while the others were terrified and hid in the bedrooms !



Arthur's friend came for a visit, grandson Toby. Arthur likes Toby and is all the time besides him or playing with him. He even brought him one of Rosie's toy mousies ! Toby preferred little cars to mousies and didn't take it. Arthur then decided to run after little cars !



They watched TV together



I was also allowed to watch



and when Toby was gone to bed he checked the toys and pushed the little cars around.



Rosie came out of her hiding place and looked at these strange things, she didn't like them at all and



tried to look what was behind the TV. Since 2 days she does it every day which made me look behind, I thought I would find a little mouse, but nothing except dust. Maybe it was that she was drawing my attention to, as she is such a perfect little housewifecat !




To compensate Pookie's suffering because of this little human monster which made loud noises and ran around, I had bought her a new red collar.  She was a little reluctant to let me put it on, I am sure she would have preferred a piece of chicken.



Rosie spent the 2 1/2 days in her basket in my room and came only out to hurry in the basement for the litterbox.



Kim did the same, and she only ate during night when nobody was around. But all in all it went very well, Toby fortunately is not the kind of little boy who runs behind the cats and catching their tails ! He knows very well that a cat is not a toy.

As boring as the week was, as agitated was the weekend ! A mini human visited his grandparents together with his Daddy. Except Arthur who was delighted about this new company which brought a little life in his daily routine with his human mummies, Pookie, Rosie and Kim didn't like the visit at all ! Especially the first day.



Arthur played football (soccer) together with Toby, Mr. G. and the giant human, and as goal keeper stood on the cat statue, only Arthur can choose such a place ! He ran after the ball which I found rather amazing because compared to his size, the ball was rather big !



He watched over the mini human and Toby learned how cats take a bath ! Arthur really showed his best !



Best friends !



In the evening they watched TV together, Arthur always besides.

He also watched him playing with the toys inside



and after Toby had gone to bed he tried out the toy box and used it as a tube to play inside ! Arthur suddenly was a young boy cat again ! We had such a fun !

The others retired on different beds and just crossed the kitchen to go outside. They didn't hide anymore because they were quiet reassured, the mini human didn't bother them, he didn't scream, ran behind or even tried to catch tails ! He was a very good boy !



Pookie listened to all these strange noises and to what was going on in the house on Mr. G's bed



Rosie slept with one eye open (you never know)



Kim looks very nice now since she had been at the groomer, all the red fur is gone and she looks really beautiful. I only saw her once sleeping on the bed.

When they were gone, Arthur helped to put the toys in the box, pulled the string with a little telephone through the kitchen and collapsed then in Mr. G's office to rest.

Have you ever met a cat who is NOT used to toddlers and who loves them ? Arthur is always full of surprises !



We had our 21 months old grandson Toby on a visit and Arhur was delighted ! He tried to play with his toys, sometimes Toby didn't agree, they shared a Brussels Wafel together, but when Toby wanted to take the piece back, Arthur only growled. I think they both found a silent agreement !



He showed Toby how to dig a hole and then make his wee-wee and he rolled around in the sunshine to show him how happy he was.

Rosie disappeared for the whole day and Mr. G. was very worried.



She spent the day behind the hedge and watched from far (we suppose). As soon as Toby was in bed, she appeared again and faked as if nothing had happened. The next morning it was the same !



Pookie hid in Mr. G's room, mostly on his bed ! and also only appeared when the air seemed to  be clear !



When they left, Arthur sat there and watched the car leaving, he looked quiet disappointed. He would probably have waved with his paw, but he is no Disney cat (yet).

When we were back in the house, he started to play like a mad with one of Rosie's mice ! Now he is back to normal and feels probably bored. He tried to play with Pookie who send him to hell. Rosie wasn't in the mood neither. Poor Arthur !
