CATS ON TUESDAY
It is unusually cold in Belgium for December. This morning we had - 6°C (22 F). Normally the thermometer shows this in January or February, but we have no snow so far.What should my cats do when it's so cold outside ? They didn't even have a nice Christmas Eve because we were away and the neighbor took care of them. Poor darlings. But on Christmas day they got their part of turkey which Mr. Gattino had especially bought for them.
Arthur who had slept for a months or so first on my bed then besides my bed, has moved since yesterday to Mr. Gattino's office where he settled down amongst the cables and instruction sheets for the new DVD portable player. I wonder if I should put a movie in with dancing mousies ?
Lisa the old girl (17) is still sleeping on the doormat at the entrance ! I don't understand why ? She has the whole house with all beds, sofas, armchairs, baskets at her disposal and she plays the poor neglected cat, kind of Cinderella !
The only one who is still active is Rosie with her new mousies, some of them are already without tail !
This was the view I had this morning in the kitchen. She still ranges her mousies during the night around the food bowls ! A real little house fay !
but then she too collapses on my bed, tired of too much work.
Pookie moved back to Mr. Gattino ! She was very shocked because she had realized that she had slept peacefully besides Rosie on my bed and this several times ! Of course she couldn't tolerate such a bad behaviour during her sleep ! Offended she went back where she could be the only cat !

Very cold weather should be the atmosphere of winter or new year, so I think that is not so bad~!

Diamond's been doing the same thing - sleeping on the floor in the kitchen. I did put her sleeping carpet down for her (she LOVES that little carpet) but given that she could have her choice of the sectional, the sofa, or even my computer chair, she prefers to the kitchen floor.
It is the same with Luzie. She is sleeping on the stairs. Not a really cozy place but she decided to sleep there.
That is a great place for storing the mousies the feeding place. That is where mousies have to be.

Yeah, it's cold over here too! I like this better than rain and clouds though. At least it's open and sunny!
The cats look comfortable. Lisa will come to her senses soon, I guess. So much warm and comfortable places to choose from. :)
It`s cold in my country as well (Norway), this morning we had -15 degrez C. All my cats wants to stay inside most of the day and night. I wish you a happy new year! :)

The cats certainly have the own sleeping preferences.
Here, Luna has strongly taken over her favorite chair. It's sometimes hard to share.
How sweet is Rosie lining up her little mousies? That makes me miss a young cat. Mine don't do as many cute tricks...but Darius did bring two live mice in with him last week. For Christmas I guess...

Sometimes Lucy sleeps where it is cold too, on the wooden floor. Maybe Lisa and Lucy are having the hot flashes, like women!
There are some habits that cats could not get rid. You know Jimmy had the tendency to bite or push his bowl next to me because he was hungry. Hey! I'm not having puppies here.. haha.

Temperature wise, we're at the opposite end of the scale. It's going to be 38 C today...rather warm.
My poor cats are very lethargic in this heat, but when it cools down in the evenings, then they let rip and go mad. Tearing around the place and generally creating havoc.

Thanks Gattina for popping over to me. There are some lovely Parks in London and we have foxes that visit our garden (at night) and in our previous house we had badgers.
I am holiday next week so will not be able to join in but I think, like you, I will dedicated a separate blog for Karmen's activities. I will set up one now and get back with the url link.
