For 4 days I still didn't know if Kim would sleep in her new tent (see previous post).

When the sun came out she still slept in front of the garden house although for my taste it was quite cool. Each time I checked the tent it was empty. But then hurrah, one day I saw her in the tent ! I really was happy. I thought already she wouldn't use it and I had bought it for nothing or maybe other cats.

But no, as soon as she heard me she came out to say hello. I asked her to go back in the tent again so that I could take a picture, but as usual cats never do what they are asked for.

Rosie who always follows me everywhere greated Kim happily. Since Kim has finally realized that Rosie was a cat and not a mouse or another strange furry thing, she became very friendly with her and doesn't run away anymore. They even give each other little kisses and Rosie is allowed to play with her bushy tail.

Since she is considered now as a grown up cat by the others, a certain hierarchy was established. The Queen mum of course is Lisa who hisses on everybody except Arthur and Kim. She doesn't like Pookie and chases her away and with Rosie it's not much better.

Then comes Queen Pookie, she doesn't like Lisa and avoids her respectfully and little Rosie gets all her frustrations, she hisses and sometimes gives her a slap. Rosie is not allowed to come near her. Arthur doesn't bother her and Kim had been her baby so Kim is allowed to wash her and sleep near her.

Arthur is the pasha in the whole group. He looks at all these hissing females (even Rosie learned it) with imperturbatility and a bored look but from time to time when he is in a playful mood he chases them around. Except of course Rosie who has become his big love. Rosie is allowed to do everything with him, he never lifts up a paw against her.

And then comes poor Kim who is ignored by everybody just as if she wouldn't exist even by the neighbor cats. Only Rosie pays attention to her.

Here is Kim now in her tent and she sleeps in it all the time and seems to be very happy ! Mr. Gattino put it in a protected corner on our terrace and the garden table protects her entry. But I hope that in winter she will sleep in again and changes her routine.

This was the little tent I first intended to buy, but I think it would have been to small for her and is also more a tent for inside or sunny weather.

and something to laugh :

Almost my case ! Kim has a nice bed too !

Could be Rosie

It's nice to learn about Kim, and how neat that she is going in her cute little tent and sleeping in there! My cats generally don't go where I want them to, especially for scratching or sleeping. Your kitty hierarchy is interesting. We have something similar here, with Stevie being Queen of the house (or so she thinks). I love the cartoons! LOL! Cats are just so fun.

I can't help feeling sorry for poor Kim, who everyone ignores. Why? She looks a lovely puss. Is it because she's a bit of a loner? Some cats are. Anyway, she has a lovely shelter now but I hope she comes inside when it gets too cold.

Outside cats and inside cats... it's odd how many will persist in being outside, even if it's cold and wet. But Kim looks in the pink of helth, and her tent is great!

Bless you, Gattina, for doing this for Kim. It is probably the most creative idea for helping a needy cat that I have ever heard.

I am glad Kim is starting to use her tent, I imagine it being damp outside now. Yucky!

Poor Kim, ignored so. Perhaps she likes it that way. Glad Rosie pays her attention.

Kim is such a large, poofy, fluffy kitty. Seems she has a good attitude. Maybe Rosie is enough for her.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, love them!

D :)

Oah Gattina,
I am so happy for you and Kim. You are very discreetness and with lots of great heart, and I believe Rosie is passing your heart to let Kim knows~! And she could disburden her defend and feel relax go into the tent.
That is a wonderful wonderful news, and I am so so happy, too.

And the comics you post are really interesting and funny, I love all of them~!!!!

I am so happy that Kim is using her tent. Sleeping on wet grass, that is awful!

Cat hierarchies are interesting aren't they? It sounds like little Rosie is reasonably well-liked however. I am glad that she has made friends with Kim.

The cartoons are very funny, especially the first one! So true!

I wish I had created that last cartoon...if that isn't the truth! how funny. I like your little garden house. I have always thought I would like to have one too. We have the downstairs garage and basement but garden houses have so much character. What a nice post and pics today...Kim looks so nice in her tent. I hate the others don't let her around.

Old cats and young kittens - haha - old men and young women *giggles*.

It's a great idea for the Cats: Camping Life. And, of course, the emballage is of course for cats - the content for dolls and guys.

btw. I'm hard working to post pictures from A'dam - even the CAT that layed behind me at A FUSION when we had our combined Lunch - Dinner on Sunday. But it takes tiiiiime.

I love your black fluffy cat, it reminds me of my poor departed Godiva cat.

Unfortunately I've been so busy I didn't have time for COT today. :-(
The cats are doing great though. Maia shares blankets and other sleeping spots with Freyja & Bastet. She is one of them now.
I love the tent!

Hi, Gattina! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your blog about the cats. I've got 2 cats myself, but 7 dogs. My husband is a big dog lover. But my male cat, Jaz, is the love of my life. I'll drop by more often!

I also just added a couple of photos of Jaz deciding he needed to sleep in the trash!

Bonjour Gattina!

Your Kim sounds like my Zoe cat.
But at least she likes her tent. I will have to look for one here!
Alex's tail is finally up again but with a little bent in it. He seems to be 100% better now.
Even if he has a crooked tail.
