ROSIE'S NEW DISCOVERIES

In ten days Rosie will be 4 months old and not a baby anymore but a little Teenager. Of course she discovers new things every day.

When I put my shopping in the fridge, she suddenly jumped inside and didn't want to come out anymore. I would have understood if the weather would have been hot, but this was not the case at all, it was quite cold. She sniffed and looked at everything inside and finally I took her out in the vegetable drawer because I wanted to clean it.






Here sits Rosie in the drawer.


She also is strong enough now to play with the carpet ! (Unfortunately) but at least she hasn't discovered yet to do her pedicure on it !


The trouble is she hides a lot of her toys under the carpet and sometimes you are startled because something squeaks under your foot !


To play with Arthur in the garden is a lot of fun for her. Now she goes a little farer around the house, but never leaves the garden.



There are so many places to hide !


And to feel more secure, if ever she would go a little farer, I had bought her a new collar. She didn't like it all first and tried to bite in it but after a little while she got used. There is a little tube with our address and telephone nr. fixed on it. Doesn't she look very chic ??

A NEW TOY

Yesterday I went to the new Ikea which had opened in Brussels. It's the second one and I had never been there. In a big basket I found all kind of sea animals and bought a little turtle and an octopus for Rosie because she loves to play with little stuffed animals.


She asked Miss Pookie. Do you want to play with me, but Miss Pookie was tired (as usual)


So Rosie played alone


She bit and and throw the octopus from one side to the other


catched it again


made a little scratch pause




and finally had enough and settled down for a little nap too.

The others were out or sleeping.

POOKIE BACK TO NORMAL

Pookie got back to her old habits ! She is not jalous anymore and behaves normal. What a relief !
She came back to my room and also sleeps on my bed or on "her" chair besides my computer. The only thing she doesn't do (yet) is sleeping on my bed during the night. But I am sure when Rosie grows from XS to XL she will do it.

Rosie always wants to play with her and that makes her unsure, she doesn't really know what to do with this excited little flee. So she slaps her friendly with her paw and hisses and Rosie becomes flat like a pancake and the world is in order again. It's amazing that female cats don't remember at all any mother instinct while male cats really behave as very good fathers. When I see Arthur supporting everything what Rosie does to him !


A little nap together


No, she doesn't want to play !


Rosie is a very tender kitten and needs a lot of cuddles. When she plays, she would suddenly stop and climb until under my chin to rub her little face against mine and then she purrs like a Formule 1 motor. After 5 min she is recomforted and goes back to her toys. It's the same during the night, she comes and sleeps right under my chin and doesn't move a bit until I wake up in the morning.

and of course she also started to help in the household !

ROSIE'S FIRST TIME OUTSIDE

For once it didn't rain, the sun was even shining which hadn't happened for 3 weeks, and we could sit outside. After hesitating a long time and just putting one paw on the tiles and then quickly turning back into the living room, Rosie finally was too curious to see what this green stuff was.

She came slowly outside and crawled litteraly to the end of the tiles and sniffed at this strange green thing.

After sniffing enough, she finally started to eat one grass blade and it tasted very good apparently, because she stayed there for a little while.


Yummy, was that good ! and it's good for the stomac. Then she turned quickly back in the house she didn't want to stay outside everything was so new to her and she was a little scared. She is only 2 months old so it's normal.




After this exhausting adventure, Rosie rested happily in Lisa's basket. Only when Lisa is in there the basket is far to small and half Lisa hangs over !

ROSIE BECOMES A GIRL

CATS ON TUESDAY

Today Rosie is 3 weeks in her new home and grows and grows ! Although I see her all the time I can almost see her growing !


I took this picture the day she arrived and was a kitten baby, screaming each time I left the room or she couldn't see me anymore

Today she has become a kitten girl, independant and discovering new things every day. Now she eats with the others and sleeps on Pookie's usual places. She also learned to climb (unfortunately) and climbs on bed, sofa, and chairs or up on my legs when I wear jeans, what I always do. Fortunately she is intelligent enough not to do it when my legs are naked ! Especially in the morning after a good night of sleep she is full of energy and runs and jumps around as if the devil was behind her. So far she hasn't broken anything.


At the very beginning she was smaller then our remote control, now she is at least one head bigger !



She loves to play with Mr. Gattino's slippers and hides little balls in there. He then wonders why his slippers don't fit anymore.

Rosie also has learned her name and when we call her she comes (or not just like all cats) but when she is in her tender mood then she would come and climb on my soft bosom to lay down (I should do an implant operation for later) and give little kisses on my nose, or washs it ! So I always have a clean nose now.

She also has learned the word "NO" especially when it's shouted. She then would look innocently at you and go away.


After a while of play time she gets tired and lays down for a little nap. Sometimes in her basket (my filing) but more often on my bed or the sofa.


She always wants to be near Pookie, if Pookie is laying somewhere then she would go slowly slowly closer and closer and then lay down too. I think her dream is to sleep at Pookies warm belly.

Pookie doesn't say anything anymore, but when Rosie comes too close, she would move or go away. She prefers to give up her place then to fight.

With Arthur it's completely different. I think he just waits until she is a little bigger because he sniffes at her and sometimes stretches out his paw. But for jumping on her as he uses to do with Pookie she apparently is too skinny for him. His half down hanging tail is a very nice toy for Rosie and she can play with it, he doesn't feel anything so he doesn't move either. That's quite funny. They run behind each other and Arthur get's his play instinct back.

Lisa looks at her with disdainful eyes as long as she has to eat, 10 kittens could run around. When Rosie is too close to her bowl she turns around an slaps her in the face.

Poor Kim still hasn't understood that Rosie is also a cat, she only sits there and looks at that crazy little thing with two question marks in her eyes.

UNITED CATS OF .....

This is a picture I like ! In the evening, while watching TV, my cats together. Well, not all of them because Lisa is probably eating (for sure) and Kim is always outside in summer and sleeps on the patio chairs. She only comes in for food. Not because we won't let her in but because she is an outdoor cat through and through.

When I am "working" Rosie loves to sleep between me and the computer and purrs like a little sewing machine.


She has discovered flowers and tries to drink out of the vase !

I don't know who has more fun Mr. Gattino or Rosie. Here he points a red lazer spot on the armchair and Rosie tries to catch it. They play for hours like that !

Rosie (unfortunately) has discovered my nose and when she has her "tender" moments she would come on my desk and leak my nose with her tiny little tongue !

ROSIE AND FOOD

Since Rosie has discovered that there is other food than her kitten food, she absolutely doesn't want to eat it anymore. No she wants to have the same as the others. It bothers me a bit because I think kitten food would be better for her, but as she has had no troubles at all and a very good appetite, I thought I drop the kitten food. Only dry kitten food I still give her although she also eats from the others bowl. I can hardly take a chair sit in the kitchen besides the food and watch whole day ! Her food is served in my room but ...

The same with Lisa, since she had got a slap from Lisa because she wanted to eat with her, she became more careful.



and as soon as the others have left, she starts ! After now 10 days she became already bigger, I can see it at our remote control !
