CAT NEWS NOVEMBER 25

Although it was so nice and warm in my bed with Rosie purring at my side, I had to go up and ... stepped with one foot into something very soft. I thought it was a toy, but at a closer look I realized that I had walked on a real dead mouse ! Disgusting ! I wrapped it in paper and buried it in the bin !



Rosie made an innocent face and after running behind mousies, slept the whole day (and night)



Arthur discovered his love for Pookie. At least Pookie doesn't bother him like Rosie who always wants to play and then hisses at him. Pookie meows and that's it, besides that she leaves him in peace, so they like now to sleep together in front of the warm radiator.



Kim since she has discovered that one can sit on a table, sits now there very often and observes what's going on around her. She too starts to get difficulties with her hind legs, we are all getting old in this house !



Only Arthur keeps his youthful mind and chases his tail, which always makes me laugh, he does his daily walks on the street and follows people. I can hear them talking to him. Then it's time for a little wash and settle down besides Pookie.



and I prepare my suitcase for 2 weeks Red Sea in Hurghada Egypt ! Pookie apparently checks if I haven't forgotten something. Mr. G. will have holidays from his naughty wife and can party with his cats and overfeed them !



and I will be here, like last year and the years before. I think it's the 8th time I am going there in November. For my two friends who come with me it will be the 4th time. It's very nice, friendly people, good food and of course a lot of Sunshine !

CATS NEWS NOV 18

Visiting a friend, I sprained my ankle when I got up from the sofa !! At first I didn't feel nothing but after an hour my foot was swollen like a balloon and it ached terribly. Cream and bandage helped a bit. So I was locked in for the whole week.



Rosie didn't take a lot of notice of my poor foot, but she was happy to have company the whole day, other than Mr. G. It had rained the whole week and despite the fact that she went out mouse hunting and came back wet like a sponge, the mousies must have decided not to go out in the rain. So no mouse corpse this week.



Arthur watched over the outside world sitting on my desk, what he saw were umbrellas in all colors, and of course the dogs who belonged to the umbrellas. People without dog wouldn't go out in this sh..t  weather !



Our independent Kim who was always outside and preferred to stay alone, looks now for the closeness to Pookie. Pookie had been her "mother" when they lived with my son in London, and Kim was a baby. She always slept against Pookie's belly. Now for obvious technical reasons it is not possible anymore because Kim is at least two sizes bigger than little Pookie. But apparently it doesn't matter !



Now as she doesn't go out anymore or only occasionally, she has learned to jump from furniture to furniture and she had tried to jump from the sofa on the table. She fell down, because here hind legs are not the once of a young girl anymore, but she insisted and managed ! Much to the nuisance of Mr. G. who sees his view on the TV now cut off by two cats (fortunately not at the same time) Kim and Arthur.



Pookie too has difficulties to jump and calculates for a while before she jumps, but so far she manages !



Rosie finds it nice that I am always laying on the sofa and tries to make pasta out of my trousers !

Last time everybody did her selfie laying, so today I do it too !



Pushing Pookie to wake her up, didn't help, shouting neither because she is deaf, I had to do "her" selfie !

CAT NEWS - Nov 12

This week Rosie the mice serial killer had brought again her victim in the house and as she is a clean cat who loves her things in place, she had put the head with two front paws in her bowl together with the dry food. She didn't agree at all when I throw the whole content in the bin !



Then she took her cat bath by making Yoga exercises



cleaned her whiskers, in my bed, resting from her mouse hunting !



Arthur was a very lazy cat this week, I needed pictures for the alphabet theme in my "Keyhole Pictures" blog and let him pose with a razor for the letter "R". I had wanted that he would at least sniff on it, but no he was more interested if somebody prepared some food.



For the same reason I had asked Pookie to pose with a red apple, but it didn't really work.



For the moment Arthur has a new sleeping place, as it was so cold I had put a blanket at my feet, in case I would need it, but the one who found this very nice and thought I had prepared it for him was Arthur and I saw him sleeping like this when I opened my eyes in the morning.



Outside it's cold and rainy but the view through the window door and on the radiator into the garden is fantastic for a cat !



In the evenings now that it is cold and dark there is family gathering



Arthur waits to be combed



Kim now every evening squats Mr. G's lap, Pookie keeps them company



When her "lap" is gone Kim plays her role as a fur ball on Mr. G.'s bed !

Aaww ! Why didn't selfies exist in my youth, when I was a beautiful young cat ?? There are still some left overs from my beauty, but the age is there !

NEWS ABOUT MY CATS Nov 4

The week was sunny and warm, but except Arthur who still does his duty as neighbor watch guard, the others already switched to winter time.



The best day in the week for Arthur is Tuesday because it's bin day ! Unfortunately it becomes very difficult to open the plastic bags we get from the city (not for free of course) look inside and eventually pull out half a chicken or something interesting for a cat's stomach. People are weird, now most of them put the bags in plastic containers impossible to open ! Sometimes Arthur just sits on the top and looks disappointed and people who walk by pity him.



The evenings as usual he spends besides Mr. G. and they watch TV together. They look like a still life !



Poor Kim starts to have difficulties to jump, she is getting old too. She still makes it on chairs or sofas but not on the table anymore. She has become more and more social, her big love is Mr. G. and as soon as he sits down she jumps on his lap and asks to be pet or even BRUSHED !! Even I am now allowed to pet her head ! She who was always outside and sometimes I didn't see her for days is now always inside and only goes out if she has to. But besides the jumping she seems well and leads her life as a retired cat in a retirement home !



Pookie the other London girl does the same, except that she is very loud and gets on our nerves with her meowing ! She always makes a circus to jump on the sofa, asking for help, but I don't move because I know she can, each morning at 6 am she jumps on Mr. G's bed, which is the same height and meows not gently but very demanding in his ear. The poor man jumps out of his bed and feeds her and then returns. The word "jump" is a bit exaggerated, because he is also part of the oldies.



Rosie caught a mouse again and was eating it in front of the toilet. Mr. G. saw her, the mouse tail just hanging out of her mouth ! Too late to save the poor thing, he only could throw the tail in the bin.



She spends all night in my bed and when I wake up in the morning I always have this view ! A fat bottom and a little head ! That's called perspective !



I found this the best photo of this week and called it "Jealousy" ! Rosie was sitting under the table and watched Pookie who sat on my lap !
