Two days after the last "Cats on Tuesday" we still had summer, it was sunny and warm

and Kim took sunbathes on Mr. G's bed.

Arthur overlooked his kingdom on the garden shed in the sun

Or he waited for people who walked by so that they could admire him, or nagging dogs for which he jumps on the little wall besides the entrance, where they cannot reach him, and then he does his grooming. Dog owners are pulled on our gravel like if they were doing water ski.

And then from one day to the other autumn moved in with rain and winter temperatures.

Arthur the philosopher adapted his lifestyle immediately. He slept the whole day near every radiator.

Rosie hadn't tidied up her mousies since a very long time. With the cold and rainy weather she rediscovered her housewife skills and started to put her mousies around the food bowls again. She probably had done a summer break.

I had realized that our bathroom door frame was dirty on the bottom. Now I know why, Pookie when she waits for Mr. G. rubs her mouth against the door frame ! She does it against a little grey shelf too and I had to clean the dirty spots. Her back end doesn't get better and she can't jump anymore. With the help of her front leg claws she lifts herself on the bed, sofas and armchairs. As she doesn't seem to suffer at all, because she plays like a young cat and eats like a horse I am still hesitating to take her to the vet. But I will do so when I am back from my holidays at the French Riviera. I am leaving on Sunday.

Maybe Pookie has tartar? Hope you get it all fixed up soon. And have a good break!

It sounds like maybe Pookie is getting arthritis in her back hips. Do take her to the vet, they may be able to give you something to help her back end feel better.

Do hope Pookie is ok. It does sound like arthritis - they can give her painkillers like Metacam - Charlie has it for his front leg. Have a good break in France!

Mum has been laughing as she is always having to get the dirt off the kitchen door frame where Hannah rubs her cheeks! We are like you it was hot last week for the time of year but more like January now!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
p.s Think of us when you are in the sun Gattina.

Strange how some cats don't like anyone shut in the bathroom for too long. Pookie is filling in time rubbing against the door while she waits.
Enjoy your trip to the South of France.

That's so sweet of Pookie to keep watch while Mr G is in the bathroom. :)
It does sound like she has arthritis. The vet may be able to confirm that and prescribe some good supplements to help her legs feel better.
Have a lovely vacation, Gattina!

Things to change at any moment from warm to cool at this time of year - it's the same of us at the moment. Glad to see Arthur and the rest of the cats adapting quickly.

Yes, the weather now seems to change from day to day here, too. We like that all of your cats adapt so well. :)

Maybe Pookie has the beginnings of arthritis in her back legs? If so, maybe she can take glucosamine/chondroitin supplements?

Have a great time on the French Riviera!

I hope Pookie is feeling better soon. I also leave dirt on the door frames. Have a great time in France. We have cold weather here and wet too. Hugs GJ x

Hmmm, the furries seem to adapt to the weather and discomforts ;-) I will send healing lights for Pookie.

Have a fun trip!

Woof, we have lousy and dangerous weather. Typhoons kept coming yet we have hot sunny days and rainy nights. And in another part we had earthquakes! I think I should pack my bags and go to Jupiter?
