ARTHUR's LOVE FOR SHOES & ROSIE LEARNED TO CLIMB

I never saw Arthur especially interested in shoes or playing with them. He always had ignored our shoes and still does. But last week when my cleaning lady came, took off her shoes and put them in a corner, Arthur suddenly got crazy ! He attacked the shoes, jumped around and pulled at the strings. He rolled over them and behaved like a shoe fetichist ! I couldn't believe it ! And Rosie too ! They finally nearly faught for the shoes. I asked the shoe owner if she had put some cat attracting spray on it, but she laughed and told me that there was noting special on her shoes. But I suspect her having walked in catnips ! It's a mistery.

I made a little video with Rosie and Arthur fighting over the shoes !

After a while Rosie went out and looked for Kim in her tent. But Kim wasn't there.

Suddenly I saw Rosie on our little garden shed ! Rosie had learned to climb ! This was the very first time that she did it ! and then she ran over to the wheeping willow tree and like a flash was suddenly on the tree !

and Pookie too but safely from inside. And while I took the pictures, Rosie felt save because I was there and climbed higher and higher. I thought I better go, otherwise she wouldn't be able to come down anymore. Indeed, after a while Rosie was still not there.

Mr. Gattino remembered with horror that he had to climb in this tree years ago to get Arthur down, and wanted to avoid the same incident. So he went outside looking for Rosie. And of course she sat unhappily there on a branch and didn't dare to go down the trunk. Mr. Gattino was just big enough to reach out to her and take her down before she went up again and he had to take a ladder !

With a big sigh of relief he brought her in and sank on the sofa, like a potatoe bag complaining what a work he had with these cats ! Poor overworked man !

After this hard day, Rosie and Arthur sat side by side and washed before they both looked for a nice napping place to settle down and take a well earned rest.

I think I really like Rose and Arthur the best. They both are very adorable and I love their relationship. Arthur has mellowness compared to Rosie's spunk!

As soon as I saw Rosie in the tree, I remember your husband's tree climbing and went UH OH! LOL

I love your new background: I didn't know people in Europe celebrated Halloween!

And the video: that sure looks like 'nip behavior to me!

Oh dear! Scoop got stuck in a tree once in Malacca. I ended up climbing the dratted thing and carrying him back down. He was extremely grateful and didn't even stick out a claw. Hope Mr Gattino is unscathed.

Pookie looks so pretty with those dolls...

Little Rosie and Arthur so funny even though Mr. Gattina says they are trouble.
I am glad Rosie is safe out of the tree.

She sure looks like she had fun helping you decorate for halloween!
I like your festive autumn look!

Too funny about the shoes! I wonder what was so interesting about them?

Rosie, I am very impressed with your climbing ability! Just be careful out there. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you!

Hi Gattina, you have decorate your blog nicely for halloween.
Our cats always climbing in every tree and at every roof. I think the cats can come down, when they come up.
It is funny to see Arthur with the shoes.
Gattina, ich glaube, Rosie wird mal eine gute Kletterkatze und von oben sieht alles doch viel interessanter aus.
"Have a nice day"

I like your Halloween decorations. I finished mine this weekend.
I am so glad Mr. Gattina could get Rosie down without the ladder. That first big climing experience is always a big deal. I love that you got a shot of her on your building!

I think the lady walked in catnip too or maybe her scent just reminded Arthur of it.

Happy Cot!

Oooh, we love the new look for Halloween! Also enjoyed the slideshow of Rosie in the tree and the video clip of the cats war of the shoes, lol! Enjoyed the special effects on the slideshow, too! Rosie and Arthur should be glad to have such a creative mama bean to show off their talents & beauty! :)

I love your Halloween wallpaper and photo header. Is that Rosie on the photo?

How funny about the shoes! I once had a cat who was terrified of shoes. Rosie and Arthur certainly seem to like your cleaning lady's shoes though!

How clever of Rosie to climb the tree, even though it did frighten poor Mr. Gattino. It looks like she had fun.

I haven't been able to stop by your Cybercruise yet, but I hope to get there later today. It sounds really interesting! Enjoy your day!

I was so relieved that Mr. Gattina got Rosie out of that tree without any trouble. She's still so small to be climbing such big trees, LOL.

I'm a bit late with my story, but it's there nontheless.

We used to like shoes a lot. Now they are nothing so interesting, just smelly!

Yipppie for Rosie that she can climb a tree. She has to be very brave and strong to do that!

I can remember having to rescue Oscar as a kitten when he climbed up a tree, draped himself over a branch and couldn't get down. He hung there mewing pitifully until I could get our neighbour to reach him, he was too high up for me.
