The second day little Rosie meauwed each time I left the room and she has quite a voice ! and this morning she even followed me in the kitchen, but all the others were eating (she wanted to eat with them) and I had to put her back to my room followed of course by loud protestations.
She also tried to play with Pookie's tail where she didn't agree to at all and hissed of course. But this morning she came and even considered to sleep as usual on my bed, so maybe in a few days it will be better.
Rosie discovered the chair besides my computer
which usually is occupied by Pookie !
But she also sleeps in her bread basket
and has unfortunately discovered my computer !
She eats quite a lot and seems to have forgotten all her siblings. She really feels home.
Poor Arthur is afraid of Rosie, he had never seen a kitten in his life and when he sees her he runs away ! I would never have thought this from Arthur, being such a social cat that he even accept small children !
So I feel like the UNO, trying to keep peace in this little world !

oh she is so cute!! I want to be her big sister!!
Rosie is adorable! Very cool that she has discovered the computer already!
Poor Arthur, I guess he doesn't know what to make of such a small kitten!
Nice Rosie! This lovely baby adopts now her new sweet home! When I'm writing to you my Mystic (ma chatte siamoise) is turning around my own computer and my husband Pierre comes back from the supermarket with the catsfood! 5 hungry cats are calling to me!!!!!Now!
It sounds like Pookie and Rosie are making a bit of progress. It will be fine, I know! Arthur will come around eventually too.
Little Rosie is so cute and obviously enjoying her new home. I just love her bread basket!
All the hub bub should settle down and return to some sort of normal within 14 days of Rosie's arrival.
Everyone will become accustomed to her, she will settle down and a routine will form.
She must find her own place in the hierarchy.
As long as there is no fighting, things are good, Gattina. Not to worry. They will work it out.
Try not to spoil her too too much in front of the others. Breeds jealousy. Make sure to give attention to your original 4. They need to know they are not being replaced. Cats are slightly insecure when it comes to new arrivals.
She is such a cutie pie! Hope everyone gets their feet on the ground and becomes family soon.
I will check back on Monday.
D :)
Oh, she is so adorable, Gattina! I think it sounds like things are coming along fairly well in the acceptance department already. There is bound to be some fallout with a new little one in terms of the juggling of established territories and relationships between your original 4 cats and Rosie. It will settle down soon, especially with as good a cat-mom as you. :-)
That's what I find so interesting with animals, they never stop to surprise you! Poor Arthur & Pookie, butt I'm sure they will melt both of them soon.
That reminds me of the first time my former dog saw a 3 weeks old baby - hot got terrified! The baby was sleeping and he barely dared to come close and then suddenly "it" woke up and screamed! He FLEW backwards and barked :-)
It took a couple of years before he met my sisters kids and he discovered the advantages of them: they were dropping a lot of food AND having a lot of intersting toys...*giggles*
Uh oh. Mommy is going "awwwwwwwww". I better close the screen before she thinks she wants to adopt a kitten. 5 of us here is already about 4 too many for me. hehehe
Purrrrrrrs,
Sanjee
Haha...Its so fun watching Rosie adapt to her new home, and she is adapting so well! She is such an adorable sweetie. And I think her meowing everytime you left the room is so sweet. She must have adopted you as her mommy already.
I'm so excited to meet everyone, but please tell Arthur I would like to meet him first. The new baby is so charming.
Rosie is so darling. I'm glad she's getting along so well. In Grethen's haste to introduce her own site she forgot to tell you that she spied a white furry mouse in your picture...
