ROSIE : IT IS OVER !

The WCB is at What did you eat
The Carnival of cats at Bad Kitty Cats

(for those who have read this already scroll down I added some news)

I am glad it is over ! Yesterday I picked up Rosie from the vet, and she is fine.

Before our trip to the vet, she played with Arthur in my wardrobe and then they settled down on the bedlinnen of course !

When I had to go, I brought the cage from the basement to the kitchen and put it on the floor. Rosie looked at it, of course she didn't remember that she had travelled this way when I picked her up from her mom when she was 6 weeks old

At that time the cage seemed enormous, now Rosie fully fits in. I didn't even have to push her, she went in there by her own. What a good cat !

Once sitting in the car, she was not so sure of herself anymore, but she behaved well, didn't "sing" at all only from time to time she made a plaintive "meauw".

The vet, a very nice lady, lives not far and when we arrived, she already waited for us. I put Rosie on the table and opened the cage, she came out immediately and sat down on the Vet's blouse. We talked a little together, it was the first time my Vet saw Rosie, from all my cats she of course reminds Arthur the best. He helped her once he had to spend a night with her, by walking around in the consulting room and observing sick cats and dogs. She couldn't keep him in the cage because he was so noisy with his loud siamese voice !

And while we were talking about Rosie, she gave her a little shot to calm her down and make her sleepy. So when I left Rosie was almost sleeping and didn't really realize what had happened to her.

When I picked her up she still was a little groggy and didn't say a meauw during the whole trip home.

When we arrived, she went immediately in this little basket close to the radiator. She didn't eat anything but during the night she slept as usual with me with her little head close to mine. Nothing special happened. In the morning I finally had the opportunity to see her belly

and it looks like this. No stitches nothing, just a little shaved square with this belly button like hole. Now I understood why she could walk and jump as if nothing had happened ! Apparently since I had Lisa spayed some 15 years ago, things have changed !

and she sleeps again on my bed to recover.

And now she is completely back to herself !

does her pedicure on the doormat

plays with her toys

and Arthur watches her from upside down !

This helps me to follow up the non Blogger Blogspotters

Yep, nowadays they don't have to make a very big incision, so sometimes it is small enough not to require stitches! I'm glad that everything went well and Rosie is home again, recovering.

Voilà quand même une bonne chose de faite! et maintenant je pense à Tiger! Il faudra lui aussi qu'il subisse une opération dans quelques mois! Brave Rosie! Enfin te voilà tranquille!

Am very glad to see Rosie back home, looking so good. I've never seen an incision like that one, so small.
You must have a very talented vet.
Rosie seems to be such a sweet girl, am so glad she had no problems. Now you can get some much-needed rest.

Yes, progress is a wonderful thing, isn't it? At least animals don't have to suffer so much now. Rosie will be fine when she gets over the anaesthetic.

I'm glad you had her speyed, Gattina, there are too many unwanted kittens because people can't be bothered to neuter their cats.

Hugs to Rosie

I am so glad that it all went well! What a relief to have it over.

My sister and I just got back from an overnight in Phoenix and we were thinking of Rosie and sending her positive thoughts from Arizona!

I'm happy that Rosie didn't have any traumatic experience from her little surgery. My belly had a few little stitches.

My mom bean asked me to say hi to you and your kitties. She's been taking care of my pa bean a lot lately and is a bit overwhelmed right now. She said she hoped to get back to blogging soon. She misses everyone.

Hugs...G

We're glad it's all over. She'll be much better off without those hormones raging through her body!

Oh, I'm so glad Rosie did well with her spaying! That's fabulous news, and spaying and neutering is so important. I'm glad she's feeling great, and I'm sending her big warm hugs!

I'm glad she's okay - it's a good thing to get cats spayed! I can't believe she didn't get stitches, I didn't know you could have it done without the stitches. Puddy is very jealous!

wow, I am amazed. It's changed since Possum had her operation, too. No stitches? What a relief.

I fixed my comments like you had done before for the non-google folks. Did you have problems with it?

Oh yes! I had that last year and it was just two teeny stitches! But they itched a lot so I biteyed them out! My Dr Tara said I was allergic to them!

But I was fine, I came home to my brand new forever home that I'd never even seen before right after my surgery and I explored EVERYWHERE right away!!! And played with my new toys and met my new brothers and claimed my new mommy and daddy!

I'm glad Rosie is home ok!

~Persephone

PS. Jack says the temperatures you have are like Vancouver where he used to live with my mommy and daddy and Whisper.

Arthur looks like a white version of my brother Jack. Always napping with his belly up!

I see and understand all your Cats: You have recently been away - for some weeks.
Guess what happened when we picked up Rosa and Felicia this afternoon - after 3 weeks with Solvi (my X) and Stompa: Rosa was complaing all the 18 km to our winter home. Felicia, she kept her mieeuw.

btw. I understand it's very cold in Waterloo. We have here in Oslo - due to the geographics: from - 18C to +3 (up in the Hills).
My last post shows the Nature as is Thursday Dec 21 just outside my Office: Christmas Cards.

It's lots more to come from South America - even Cats - LOL
