A BAD DAY FOR ROSIE

Karen Jo did this nice Limrick for Rosie.

Today is a bad day for Rosie I have to take her to the vet to get neutred. Yes, it's already time I just can't believe it. But she is 7 months old today and it is (apparently) great time. I wanted to wait a little bit because she is still such a small little cat, but the vet had his word to say ... it is great time !

Yesterday evening I had some Christmas pudding which I got from my English friend and Rosie liked it ! She even ate a little piece.

This morning of course she is not allowed to eat and I hide behind my computer not to see her big eyes asking me, why don't you feed me this morning ? I am sure she feels that I am not behaving normal although I try.

The last time I had to do this was with ol' Lisa but that was 15 years ago ! Arthur doesn't count, he is a male and that was done very quick and a few hours later he played around as usual.

But for a little female it's different she will have stitches and has to rest.

In one hour I have to go ! Think of Rosie !

Rosie will be happier and healthier as a spayed cat! 7 months definitely isn't too young. Some kittens are spayed as young as 4 months, and 6 months seems to be the "typical" age. I will purr for Rosie.

She's going to be a handful trying to keep her quiet with those stitches! Good luck on that one. But I remember (it's been a long time here too), the anxiety. You just call up after the operation and they will reassure you that she is just fine!

WE had that surgery at 6 months!
We do not remember much of it... but Princess had a shaved tummy and stitches.

We will purr and pray that Rosie does well with the surgery. She has a great mommie to take good care of her and spoil her when she comes home!!

We will purr that everything goes well for Rosie. We had our surgeries together at 4 months. Tiki had to stay overnight at the vet, but Riley stayed with her to keep her company.

Awwwh! Love those kitty pictures. Kaytabug is doing the next Fun Monday. You can usually find out who is next by looking at the list of participants. I wrote a blurb next to her name saying she'd host next week. Most of the FM I've seen do it this way. You'll get the hang of it soon! :-) Here's here info:

Hi,
I wanted to stop by and let you know we're thinking of and praying for you & Rosie, especially little Rosie. Hope she is feeling better quickly! It sure is harder on the female kitties than the males. It's been a long time since I had to take my cat to be spayed--maybe 20 years. Our gang were all already neutered when we adopted them.

Oh, and about Kosmo and his markings...we're told that he is a Bengal/Tabby mix. I think the Bengals have a very dark stripe down the back with dark circles on the sides and then some tabby stripes thrown in. I think Bengals are a newer breed but I might be wrong. Do you read Pet's Garden Blog? She has Bengal cats and probably knows more than me!

Cyber hugs to you & Rosie!
