Although Arthur doesn't suffer yet from rheumatism he loves to heat up his "old" bones on the warm tree bark in our garden.

Or on the gravel in front of the house, where he also watches over the car.

Last time when my friend Chantal visited me, and Arthur slept besides her, she said :"I never realized that Arthur has a reddish shade in his fur" !

No wonder when he sleeps and rolls around in the red gravel !

Rosie this little bitch with her innocent cute face, became a terrific mouse hunter ! In the last 5 days she has brought us 4 mice ! Fortunately dead, except the one yesterday which Mr. G had to kill himself. Since 33 years I live in this house and always had cats, but I never had such a mouse harvest ! When I think that there are at least 20 cats living here around then I wonder how many mice must live here now ?? It must be a whole army.

We thought we should rename her "Killer Rosie". Here she watches over the garden under the freshly washed bed cover.

My little sleeping pill Pookie as usual on her 24 h spot on the bed.

As a lot of elderly people, Lisa looks young on a picture, because you don't see how bony she has become. (People have wrinkles) She will be 19 in October and this would be 90 if she were a human ! She still could go into politics.

PS. This morning Rosie brought home her 5th victim ! dead !

Rosie the sweet faced killer - what a bad girl she is.. poor mousies! But I guess she's just doing her job.

My mum's Qwill was 17 day before yesterday. Like your sweetheart he is a little bony too but still active.

BTW did you know it was World Cat Day on August 8th? I didn't until I read it on some other blogs. I'll be posting that day. You too?

Hahaha, Rosie, I can send you olli and you can hunt together as the killer duo.
Gattina, you can be glad that she only takes mice at home. olli brought us a tiny rabbit a few days before. I hate that and I don´t like to pet him after that mess.
Arthur, Luzie love to sleep on warm places like that too.
Oh, wow, Lisa will become 19 soon, that is great!

Arthur does look much like my Snowflake. I love white cats. I had Snowy and Mollianne (a diabetic insulin taking cat the last year of her life) who were all white. They lived to 17.

It never fails to amaze me that Lisa is actually 19!

Rosie a killer? Wow! Who would ever thought that sweet little kitty would grow up to be a great hunter!

I remember one time taking Fritz to a dog show. They had the event on a tennis court which was pink! Soon I had a white dog who was soon turning pink!
Lisa does look good. 19, WOW!
And it is interesting how that innocent little girl, Rosie wormed her way into your heart. No one ever suspected she is a serial killer of mice! lol!

Oh what an ardent mouser.. The red tinge will be gravel to be sure. They are all lovely in their own ways.. Mum says her first cat was almost 21 and Fluff her tortie was just one month off 20.. There is plenty life there yet.. Enjoy..

hahahaha silly Rosie. I think Pierro would love to be catching mice all day and some birds too.

Arther, you are like me, it is good to relax in some sun, and then move to a cooler location for a short while.
What a great life!

ps: mom calls me a fur covered skeleton, so I know how it is to be old. You can feel my spine when you pet me. Lisa, you are beautiful

Lisa's 19, 90 in human years. That makes her as old as my mum. Killer Rosie...well, it sounds as if she's living up the name. She should be running out of mousies soon...unless they're breeding faster than she can kill them. What a thought!

So Arthur goes out, rolls in the gravel and comes back inside a strawberry blonde? Is he gay...lol!

Your cats are wonderful, but aten't all cats? I feel sorry for the mouse but it is cat's nature.

Arthur reminds me of my Marshmellow except mine is long haired. Rosie is just beautiful. It is wonderful to see cats live to be so old.

This is my first week posting on Tuesday Cats. I know I am going to have fun seeing everyones cats.

Wow Rosie is a great hunter! Trixie does the mouse duty at our house and once she even dropped it in our bed when we were sleeping!

Arthur looks very comfy rolling around outside. Both of mine like to do that too!

Lisa looks very comfortable there - she's doing very well for an almost 90-year old! And I love the idea of rolling about in red gravel - Arthur could change the colour of his fur that way and then you wouldn't know who he was! Tricky! :)
