SPRING FEELINGS FOR LISA ?

I don't know what happens to Lisa since New Year. She started 2008 with a quite unusual behaviour she suddenly became an affectionated cat which hasn't happened since a very long time as she is now in her 17th year.



Of course one thing hasn't changed she always eats a lot and besides her new affection for me she still prefers eating in the first place. Lisa is a stomac with four paws !


Now she always accompagnies me to my "litterbox" and if I don't leave the door open she would scratch and meow until I give up any resistance.


Sometimes she just sits in the middle of a room and meauws strangely it sounds like a rusted trompet.


Suddenly she always sleeps on my bed which hadn't happened either since a long time.


and jumps on my night table knocking over my radio and other things, especially around 4 am because she wants to eat !



She observes me in the kitchen !




and wants always to sit at my computer



and sometimes she sleeps in the sink.

For the moment Lisa does everything to be in my way ! But she also wants to be petted all the time and jumps on my or Mr. Gattino's lap. She always was a very indipendant cat and suddenly she wants company 24 h a day ! Not Pookie and Rosie of course, she still doesn't like her sisters at all ! I wonder if she has spring feelings at her old age and far in advance ! Being spayed doesn't mean to give up love life, platonic of course !

ROSIE AND HER TOYS

For the Tuxedo Gang, Rosie is the star in the family because she is the only one in my cat family who wears this title. Rosie also is the very first one I ever had.



Here she is laying on my bed and observes what I am doing at the computer. She loves the big stuffed cat and cuddles beside it.



She loves all little stuff toys and plays with them for hours. She carries them through the whole house and often hides them in all available shoes. It is then quite a surprise for the owner when the shoe suddenly has become too small. Now I always check my shoes before I put a foot in !



and as every day I also found this morning 4 of her six mice toys around the food bowls and although I have asked yesterday if somebody knows a cat who has the same habits, nobody knew one so far. Maybe I should go with Rosie to a Circus because she also brings back her mouse when you throw it away and she can do this the whole evening !

CATS HABITS

CATS ON TUESDAY

Rosie continues to play the perfect housewife. During each night she collects her mice "dolls" and puts them neatly around the food bowls. I decided to take pictures of it, because each morning it is a little different, but Sunday morning it was the best I didn't even know that she had 6 mice ! I always bought one more because I thought she had lost them, but no, she must hide them somewhere. I have to stop my mouse purchases ! Isn't that funny ? Have you ever heard about a cat ranging her toys ?

Now that the Christmas tree is gone a (old) new decoration has appeared on the table and had to be checked by Rosie.









Concerning Mr. Arthur since his last walk and the firework at New Year, he has choosen my wardrobe as residence. He spends the whole day in there and comes only out when he needs a snack or something to drink.


I certainly have to wash the bedsheet before using it. Arthur's paws are newer paws like a white cat should have.


The only gymnastic he does actually is catching water at the tap


I hope he will not overwork himself.



and when he is not housing in my wardrobe he chooses this place for a quick nap, especially when one of us wants to go there. Arthur knows where he is useful !

HELP, A MOUSE !!

This week's WCB is at Kate's blog.

Yesterday I noticed Kim sleeping just in front of the Toilet door on the tiles, which is not really a comfortable place. But it didn't surprise me, because Kim has a lot of phantasy to choose the most impossible and uncomfortable napping places.

But the next morning she was still there. Now I found it a little strange because she didn't sleep anymore but was staring under the display cabinet which contains my cat collection.

Mr. Gattino became curious and looked under the cabinet too and then he called me and said : "there is a mouse under the cabinet" We made a commun decision : the mouse had to get out.





Meanwhile Rosie had joined and was also looking under the vitrine. I put her in the living room and closed all doors. Now we had to do team work. While I, armed with a broom tried to get out the mouse from under the cabinet, Mr. Gattino on the other side held a newspaper page rolled into a tunnel to get her in. We both were kneeling on the floor and exchanged orders : a little right, no more left ... hold the paper lower etc. etc.

The mouse ran from one part to the other but not in the newspaper tunnel ! We both got warm and red faced and finally I managed to get the mouse running out but behind the little telephone furniture. Me moved the whole thing away, just to see that she now disappeared behind the radiatior.

I took my camera, Mr. Gattino got angry "put this @#§%$ camera away" ! I finally opened the house door and with the broom in one hand the camera in the other and Mr. Gattino besides me fumbling around with the newspaper sheet I managed finally that the mouse ran out of the door. I dropped the broom and tried to make a picture of the mouse but she had already vanished in the plants. What a disappointment !

I was exhaused, let Rosie and Kim out of the living room, Kim didn't bother that the mouse had disappeared but Rosie sat still for a while in front of the cabinet and was very offended that there was no mouse anymore.



When I finally collapsed on my chair in my room, I saw Arthur washing himself in my wardrobe


and Pookie glancing at me with suspicious eyes.

What a morning !

ROSIE THE TUXI

It is the first time that I participate with Rosie at theTuxedo Gang Hideout ! Rosie is the first tuxedo cat I ever owned. She lives with us now since 6 months and is a very affectionated and intelligent little cat.


Rosie got a new toy, a little turtle













A little lazy to play she doesn't leave her seat ! I had to pick up the turtle and put it back.
