CATS ON TUESDAY

Fortunately we have Arthur ! What would an old couple (don't say that to Mr. G) do without him ? We would be bored to death at home.

One of our neighbors brought us a nice "Galette du Rois" (King's cake) which is baked in honor of the Epiphany. There is a "fève" inside, a little piece which should bring you luck and if you get it without breaking your teeth, in case it's a little ceramic figurine, you also get the crown and become the king or the queen of the day. We ate two slices in the evening as desert.

The next morning I found our King's cake half eaten on the floor and crumbs all over the kitchen. Dear Arthur had taken off the aluminium foil which I had put over the cake and had done self service. I didn't find the "fève" amongst the crumbs and suppose that it landed in Arthur's litter box. That was our January 6th Epiphany celebration !

Pookie was disgusted and preferred her cat food, which Rosie had nicely decorated with a green mouse.

Sir Arthur, usually a bin fan, can also be a picky eater. Mr. G presented him Chili con Carne, which he didn't like at all as you can see from the expression on his face. For once Mr. G. had his plate all for his own.

Then Toby our grandson came for a short visit with his Dad and Arthur was happy ! When Toby is here he behaves like a kitten ! He was running behind a little locomotive and played with the little cars. These two are the best buddies !

He also takes care of Kim, our rather strange cat and checked if she was eating properly. This way I got a nice black and white picture with my new camera.

Rosie after her household scores loves to keep me company when I am "working" on my computer

and she doesn't like at all when Pookie comes into my room too. Even after nearly 7 years of life together they hate each other dearly.

I'm not surprised that Arthur got his share of the King's cake - after all, he IS the king kitty in your house!

Was it "Not Me" who got to the cake?
We've found that Not Me is very active in our kitchen too!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

I also hope that Arthur didn't eat the feve. He is sure having fun with Toby. I love the black and white pictures. So Rosie and Pookie still hate each other after seven years. I shouldn't complain about Oja hissing at the new arrivals. She has only been hissing at Rocio for one year.

So, was Arthur the king for the day? We think he is the king EVERY day. :)
