CATS ON TUESDAY

CATS ON TUESDAY

I am on my way back home, after 10 days  with my friends Anne and Douglas living in Eastbourne (UK) at the sea.

Last year when I was there, they still had 3 cats. But due to their old age Pepsi died shortly after Christmas and Lilli in March. Very sad for my friends but both cats were nearly 19.

Now there is only Sophie left. Sophie is a real cuddle cat, but she too is 18 years old and became a little bony. She leads now a very quiet cat life, sits mostly under the car and watches the street, she still eats quiet well, sits on all available laps, but is not the same like last year anymore.

Here she is, quiet difficult to take a good picture of her because she always wanted to sniff at my camera !

On Sunday we were invited for lunch and I met Dolly. When I saw her first I thought it was Kim ! they look the same !

Dolly has her own bedroom in the kitchen cupboard, where she spends her days when she doesn't go out to do her little walks around the house and the garden.

A very special bed, besides the bin.

Dolly lives together with Rushka, a very friendly dog, he has some difficulties to walk, he is 12 years old, but still brings a ball to play with him.

Now I am curious to hear all the adventures Mr. G. had with our 4 cats. Arthur certainly kept him busy !

Dolly is pretty and yes, very senior cats like Sophie move slowly probably due to arthritis or similar.

Hope you enjoyed your vacation and have a safe journey home. Purrs!

How sad about those kitties - they lived to good ages though. My cats are always trying to get into kitchen cupboards if the door is open - maybe they're scouting for a good place for a bed!

What a lovely garden Dolly and Rushka have...

Hope your kitties have been behaving themselves with Mr G - that poor man will be worn to a frazzle with Arthur :O))

I'm sure your four cats will meet you eager to hear about your holiday and full of complaints about the neglect by Mr G. You will be able to tell them about the cat who lives in a kitchen cupboard.

Sad to hear about your friend's cats passing away. We hope Sophie has a full happy life ahead of her. And Dolly is a pretty black cat - that's an interesting nap location.

Aww, that's so much like our Au and my mum's Annie. Aren't old pets precious? Glad you had a good holiday and hope Arthur didn't eat too much while you were gone :-)

We are sorry to hear about Pepsi and Lilli, but are happy that they lived such nice, long lives. Sophie is beautiful, and I'm glad she has a good and loving home with laps to sit on.

Rushka is handsome. And Dolly DOES look like your Kim! The difference is that it seems like it is possible to find Dolly (unlike Kim sometimes, MOL).

We look forward to reading all about the adventures your four cats had with Mr. G. :)
