CATS ON TUESDAY

CATS ON TUESDAY

Since it became so cold outside and the cats think that they get stuck in the snow, our house has become a dormitory.

Even Kim stays inside and keeps company to Pookie who only gets up to eat or change her napping place. She does her 24 h lasting sleeping marathon on Mr. G. bed, but in the evening she joins us in the living room and snores peacefully but loud up on the sofa. On the picture she was just awaken for a second.

Rosie hates Pookie and wants to go on the bed too, but only to chase her away, but after some thrustful hisses from Pookie she finally gave up and went away. Rosie can be a real little bitch !

I don't know if it has something to do with the snow, but since about 2 weeks Rosie puts not only one mouse in her water bowl but at least too and here there were even 4 ! As soon as I take them out of the water and put them on the radiator, she waits until they are dry to drop them back into the water. You see I have a very important occupation with drying mousies ! I wonder if Rosie wants to give them a bath, our is it mouse laundry ? As long as she doesn't want to iron them it's OK for me.

When she is not busy with her little mouse household scores, she looks outside and wonders about this white stuff which feels so cold on her delicate little paws. So most of the time she sleeps in her basket and keeps me company when I am working at my computer.

and in the evening we watch TV together.

Arthur too has got some strange habits. He doesn't want to drink out of a bowl anymore, no, he needs Mr. G.'s glass ! It had happened once that Mr. G. had left his glass besides the sink and had seen Arthur drinking out of it. Of course, as a perfect and faithful servant he now puts him a glass besides the sink !

and Arthur enjoys the fresh water. I wonder if I should put a champagne glass instead of such an ordinary water glass ?

He also has changed his napping place, now he mostly sleeps on Mr. G's desk chair, especially when Mr. G needs it. Sometimes he also lays between the Christmas decoration which he finds rather boring, as you can see on his face.

But he still goes out, he loves the snow as litterbox as you can see in the post below !

PS. Our friend Ellen from Katz and Other Tales has published a Novel "Blackmail bride" please go over to her blog here for more information

Lovely post - Rosie does make me laugh with her obsession with drowning mice! I'm surprised Arthur isn't asking for his water to be served with an olive or maybe a little umberella on the side of the glass :O)

Hey thanks for the plug!

Annie, my mum's cat, drinks out of a crystal glass and insists on ice-cubes - best not tell Arthur!

OMC I never heard of a kitty putting their mousies in their water!!! That had me rolling with laughter!
Maybe Rosie thinks they need a bath!

Kim came inside? Well it must be very cold and damp then!

Oh, this is just too funny. Pookie is very much like Lucy. Lucy gets up to eat and groom but sleeps around the clock on the electric blanket. Rosie is a funny girl with her mousies. It makes one wonder what she's thinking about as she constantly puts her mousies in the water dish. I'm so glad Mr. G is faithfully leaving his glass for Arthur. A servant should do no less!

Wow, it must be cold with all that snow. I'd say them cats are stranded. At least it is warm inside, with water in a glass, some TV, some mousies, and a nice bed to sleep on. Best also if the bed has a human sleeping on it for more warmth!

It sounds like they are all going a little bit stir crazy. Maybe that explains some of the wacky behavior of us indoor-only kitties.

Our daughter would dip the mousies in her water dish and then bring the wet trophy to my bed and very carefully place it on my pillow. :-)

Pookie has put on her "don't mess with me look" which explains why Rosie left!
It's so cute the way Rosie is STILL obsessed with putting her mousies in the water bowl. Maybe she thinks you have too much time on your hands. LOL!

Sweet picture of Pookie and Kim together on the bed. :)

We love that Rosie waits until the mice are dry to drop them back into the water. And what can we say about Arthur? He cracks us up!

What a great post - and the pics are wonderful! We think it is so funny that Rosie puts her mice in the water - because Virgil does the same thing! Kirzon did it sometimes when he was younger, and now Virgil has taken over - he loves to put his favorite toys in the water.
