BACK FROM HOLIDAYS

CATS ON TUESDAY

When I came back from my one week holidays in England I was greated by Lisa, then Pookie who seemed to be happy to see me. Rosie and Arthur came later and I got the impression that they even hadn't realized my absence, although both slept on my bed during the first night.

My friend Anne had given me this old little Grandma who should represent us in a few years !

she has the same.

I rewinded her and showed it to Arthur, the hero got scared and ran away first but then he got his courage back and had a closer look.

Lisa had a sniff and pushed Grandma over with her paw then she turned to her favourite occupation ..... eating.

As usual Rosie had gathered her mousies around the bowls, one in the food bowl and another in the water. I thought poor Lisa can't drink and took the mouse out. Then followed a loud scream which made Mr. Gattino running into the kitchen. I had taken out a real mouse !! Usually I am not afraid of a little mouse, but a dead wet mouse corpse was a quite disgusting feeling ! I threw it in the bin and forgot to take a picture !

Rosie had her innocent look.

To show me how fit he is despite my absence, Arthur chased Rosie through the garden !

Look at this high speed !

Dead Mouse Corpse! Oh isn't that an
honor for (a cat) to bring its
beloved family a mouse! LOL
My outdoors cats used to do that all
the time, and they got fed cat food
everyday.... floating in the water
is a little yuck thou!!!!
Life would be boring without the
kitties, right!!?

Oh My goodness! I am laughing so hard about Rosie's habit of putting mice real and toy in her water and food bowls!
(although I would scream too if I found a dead mouse in the water bowl!)
Wikipedia does the very same thing too!
Although we have only found one dead mouse so far and it was on the front porch mat as a present from on of the cats. (LOL! I did scream that morning too!)
But Wikipedia puts her toy mice in rows and carries them around with her like they are her babies.
When she is done playing with them she will sometimes put them in the food and water bowls or in the dogs house!
Why does Rosie and Wikipedia do that? Do you think so they will not forget where they are or because they think the mouse needs a drink of water?

That is so cool that your vacation to England was not very far from where mine was in May!
I just loved it there too! I can't wait to go back!
I think I will post a picture from there for my Wordless Wednesday post tomorrow!

Welcome back Gattina. I hope you had a wonderful and relax vacation. :)

Well, I don't mind having some soft mice in the house but not one that's real. Phew~ So far I only got them in my garden. I was laughing hysterically at Rosie's habit. Didn't she know that she should not have junk food before a meal?? LOL!

Arthur and Rosie sure enjoy themselves in the garden. How I wish I have a garden so big and beautiful as yours... but I might have to worry about my flower bed then :P

Oh Gattina, I'm laughing at you holding a dead mouse thinking it's one of Rosie's toys...However, I'd scream, too and mice don't worry me either...well, live ones anyway.

Good morning, Gattina! Again I enjoyed your cat story . It is always so funny to read about your cat family ;o)
I can imagine how you scream about the dead and wet mouse...buah
My first job every day is to cleanup all the dead mice aroung the house.
Yesterday we had a dead rabbit and the day before yesterday I had to remove a dead rat (!)
My cats do a good job but I think rabbits don´t must be....
We live near big fields with corn and cabbage...it is harvest time and there are millions of mice and rats and rabbits in the fields so I have to continue my daily job ... and the cats too.
Have a nice day!

Welcome back, Gattina! The cats must be happy to have you back! I'm not afraid of a mouse either, but wet and dead wouldn't be my thing too! The picture in the garden is great!

My Mother's cat used to put his dead mice on her feet at night. I just can't imagine waking up to that.

Wow, a real mousie in the water bowl! Very impressive! We are sure that your cats missed you. We missed our humans while they were away.

Welcome back! Ohhhhh yuck! A real dead mouse in the water, what a surprise! Luckily the gang hasn't caught any of those around here...yet. I remember one of my cats gifted me with a half eaten mouse, left it under my bed for me and then looked so hurt when I screamed and carried on, lol!

I arrive a little late at COT but you know it is still summer here and we are so lazy! I think when I will retourn at work I will come back to the reality and be more activ!!! but i must say I begin to prepare la garde robe de Mélissa pour le lycée car son armoire est dans un drôle d'état! Bien je vois que les petites souris mortes ne te rendent pas joyeuses! But you know my reaction would be the same! And when i think the mouse is a gift for you!

Cats can take care of old ladies, can't they?

Oh nasty, a real mouse in the water. I would've screamed just because I wouldn't have expected that at all. They left one at the garage door by the basement the other day instead of the front door. I don't know what they were trying to tell me with that.

Arthur and Rosie do look really fast in the last photo!

Oh my! We find dead mice sometimes too. Once Trixie even left one on our bed!

I'm sure they are all glad that you are back.
