ARTHUR's CAR WASH

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

CATS ON TUESDAY

Now that spring is arriving and it's nice and sunny outside (at least for the moment) Arthur goes out again. He loves everybody in our street, unless it is proved that the person in question is not worthwhile to be attended.

But in our street at least it doesn't happen.

So yesterday he saw the neighbour cleaning his car armed with a bucket, a sponge and a towel. Arthur saw him and of course tail up, crossed the street immediately to check on him if he did everything right and maybe help him a little.

First he checked the water in the bucket with his paw, then he shook it stating that water was wet. Then he walked through and around the neigbour's legs and was surprised that the poor man almost felt over the bucket. I heard him shouting "go away Arthur, you are in my way" but as usual Arthur sometimes has serious hearing problems. So he stayed and sat on the little wall besides the car. He followed each movement of the sponge and towel with his head and nearly ricked his neck.

He tried to start a conversation. But on his "Meouw" question, he got the answer "What do you want ?" Arthur thought the man is crazy he didn't want anything he just wanted a little chat. So he spoke for himself a little, while he washed himself too. Why should the car be clean and he not ?

Finally the car was finished and sparkled in the sunshine. Arthur was dazzled by the light and jumped on the car, leaving cute little paw prints to embellish it.

And I ran over to pick up Arthur and proposed my help to clean them off.

Arthur does an excellent job of patrolling the neighborhood and offering his most helpful services with such otherwise-boring tasks as washing cars. Not only that, but he gave instruction on how the proper cleaning should be done by demonstrating it on his own fur. What a clever kitty he is!

Nice to see the sun is shining somewhere and Arthur is loving it. My poor critters are still suffering winter shut in.

Arthur is right: all cars should be decorated with a paw print!

Hey Arthur, paw prints are very fashionable on cars. I decorate our car and Jane's car regularly. Because the cars get quite dusty as it's so dry, the paw prints show up really well.

But I tell you what the best thing is...skidding down the windows. That makes lovely decorations.

Oh ho ho! You bad tutty! Puttin' your Mama to all that work cleaning up after you! What a character you are.

I put my Cranky Princess Phoebe on my blog today. Do you think you can charm the pants off her? Maybe that's what she needs!! LOL

I love that story! Only a cat lover would get it! My car is always covered in paw prints. But what I love about Vermont is that almost everybody's car is covered with paw prints! It's nice to be living in a place where everybody accepts this as a fact of life. Muddy paws all over the windshield, hood and roof!

Have a great week, Gattina and Arthur and Mr. Gattina!

Arthur reminds me so much of Sesame! Sesame loves to put his paws into his water bowl, then shake the water all over the floor. Sometimes, he purposely spill the water on the floor with his paws. I do not know what his intentions are.

We have two like Mr. Arthur... they like to have their noses in the middle of everything that goes on in the house. Windows included.

Mine is finally up. I have been busy feeding and caring for a couple of sick animals this week already. It seems there is not much time for anything else as the schedule is so off.

I think Arthur looks ever as shiny and brightly clean as the old car....

Nice job Arthur! Isn't it silly how humans sometimes don't appreciate our help? You do a great job patrolling the neighbourhood, and you were clearly interested in what your neighbour was doing to his car! We cats are naturally curious, and humans should realize this!

The neighbour should be grateful Arthure bother to check the water was wet and the car properly washed.

Wash away paw prints from the STAR? Un-thinkable! It's like proposing to drill away the marks in the street in Hollywood.... *giggles*
